Mothibedi is a professional certified electrical engineer who holds a BSc Electrical Engineering (UCT) & government certificate of competency (GCC) with more than 22 years engineering experience that includes maintenance & reliability engineering, energy management, energy efficiency optimization and power systems electrical design solutions for utility power plant, commercial offices and plants, government & municipal water/wastewater plants and petrochemical industry.
Mothibedi started his career at Sasol in 2001, as maintenance engineer, Electrical design engineer, section manager and was later appointed to Sasol Secunda as lead Governance engineer for Sasol distribution and power stations at Secunda. Since 2011, he has been working as Chona Malanga consultant and contractor’s project manager in entities like Rand Water, Sasol, and Johannesburg Water, and Major Solar plants. As a design engineer and project manager, he has successfully designed, managed and executed numerous projects from concept to implementation in different engineering sectors.
